Michelle Stickle is a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience providing assessment, counselling, mediation and training to individuals, families and organizations. Michelle has worked for Mission Australia in an adolescent drug rehabilitation service, and for Centrecare Marriage and Family Service providing counselling, mediation and group therapy for adolescents and their families. Michelle has also conducted training in Mediation, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Counselling Skills for organizations such as Curtin University, University of Notre Dame, the Justice Department of WA, Centrelink, and the Education Department of Western Australia.
Michelle has been in private practice since 2001 working with individual adults and adolescents aged 16 and above with a variety of issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, PTSD, infertility, grief, postnatal depression and chronic pain. Michelle has also worked with veterans and their families through for over 20 years.

How long are the sessions?
Sessions are usually 50 minutes. EMDR sessions may run to 90 minutes.
How much does a counselling session cost?
Fees for a 50 minute counselling session are $190. If the client has a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP, they may be able to claim a rebate from Medicare. The current Medicare rebate for a 50 minute Clinical Psychology consultation is $145.25.
What happens in the first session?
Initially, paperwork is completed. Michelle will then ask what has brought the client to therapy, their insight into the problem, and possibly a family history. Michelle will then propose a plan for tackling the presented issues and ask for the client's agreement to the proposed plan.
Are sessions confidential?
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No, however if you would like to be able to claim a Medicare Rebate, you will need to get a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
What days and times are available to see Michelle?
